A2D is a luxury travel & concierge operator in Northern Europe.  We are looking to hire an experienced, English speaking Travel Agent for our office in Madrid. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our rapidly expanding travel & concierge company and to work in a professional and friendly working environment. 

The Madrid-based Travel Agent works closely with A2D’s Travel Experts and is responsible for making all travel bookings for A2D’s business and private clients (fights, hotels and other travel related services). The Travel Agent is an integral part of the A2D team and requires somebody with meticulous attention to detail, excellent customer service and project management skills. 

Role Specifics:

  • Responsible for making all A2D bookings such as flights, hotels, transfers, and all other travel related services.

  • Work in close collaboration with other members of the A2D team to ensure best practice for each stage of the sales delivery process.

  • Be the first point of contact for all incoming travel enquiries, demonstrating and communicating a comprehensive understanding of A2D and its full range of services.

  • Liaise with A2D’s clients to fully understand their travel requirements and use your expert knowledge to offer destination inspiration and travel options.

  • Work with overseas partners to create bespoke travel itineraries that are accurate, well presented and communicated in a timely manner.

  • Create travel documents and proposals

  • Ensure the highest level of customer service and professional standards are met at all times.

  • Accurately record customer information in A2D’s CRM system.

Skills Required:

  • 3+ years’ experience working in the travel or hospitality industries

  • Amadeus and IATA experience

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Other preferred but not essential languages: Dutch, French, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish.

  • Confidence to communicate with clients at all levels

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably from the luxury travel, leisure or hospitality industries.

  • Excellent administrative skills

  • Highly organised with acute attention to detail

  • Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure, prioritise workload, problem-solve and multi-task

  • A can-do attitude and passion for delivering excellence
